Rural Development Program by Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Sunderban
The Bharat Sevashram Sangha is a pioneer registered charitable organization serving country for last 100 years. Its services during the hours of natural calamities, flood, famine, earthquake etc., running hundreds of charitable dispensaries, hospitals, mobile medical units, leprosy and cancer treatment centre, tribal welfare and upliftment.
The Sangha provided financial assistance to 298 group-members of 42 SHGs (Self Help Groups) at Makhalia, Jaldhapa, Tasarala, Benipur, Dulalpur, Ghanashyampur, Ramnagar villages of Mograhat-11 Block and 130 group members of 32 SHGs at Mahendraganj, Nagendraganj, Shaspara, Uttar Haradhanpur, Koylapara, Mritunjaynagar, Khas Ramkar, Krishnanagar villages of Sagar Block for income generationthrough guava/vegetable gardening, hogla planting, mat making, poultry farming, fishery, betel vine and small businesses like grocery shops, photo frame binding etc. Sangha also provided training followed by financial assistance to produce organic manure by adopting vermi-compost method to the poor at Kakdip, Sagar block.
